There are two primary reasons for irregularities:
- A data point may represent streams for two days if our recording aligns with Spotify's update fluctuations.
- Anomalous points (including negative streams) can result from metadata discrepancies like different tracks sharing the same ISRC.
The extent varies by track. For some, records go back to September 2023. Once you look up a track, we activate tracking and record data daily from that point forward.
Spotify only displays public stream counts for tracks with over 1,000 streams. A count of 0 means the track currently has fewer than 1,000 total streams.
